Electrolytic copper foil titanium anode
1. Electrolytic cell structure for electrolytic copper foil
When the foil making machine is working, the copper sulfate electrolytic solution is pumped from the bottom of the anode tank into the electrolysis area between the anode plate and the cathode roller, and then electrolysis is performed. The copper ions in the electrolysis area are gradually deposited on the surface of the cathode roller. The slow rotation of the roller deposits electrolytic copper foil with a certain thickness on the surface of the cathode roller rotating out of the electrolysis area, and then the electrolytic copper foil is collected by the winding roller. The electrolytic copper foil industry generally uses an arc-shaped electrolytic cell to produce copper foil by electrolyzing copper sulfate solution, plating copper on atitanium.html> titanium rotating cylindrical cathode with a diameter of 2-3 meters, and peeling off the copper foil at one end of the drum; The distance between the anode and the cathode roller is very small, but it is necessary to ensure that the thin copper foil with uniform thickness is deposited on the smooth cathode roller.
Precious metal-coated titanium anode is used as the preferred anode in the electrolytic copper foil industry. It has the advantages of low overpotential, stable electrode spacing, and higher energy conversion efficiency. It can not only reduce cell voltage and power consumption, but also avoid the use of lead. The electrolytic oxidative decomposition of organic substances such as amines in the copper foil manufacturing solution that occurs during the electrode process extends the life of the electrolyte and improves productivity. It has more advantages than the traditional commonly used lead anode.
3. Specially coated titanium anode for electrolytic copper foil
In order to meet the installation curvature requirements of the electrolytic cell of the foil machine, thin plate anodes have been widely used in copper foil production. A thin titanium plate is coated with a layer of precious metal oxide coating. This thin plate can be installed on the arc-shaped base in the plating tank, and after installation, this thin anode can make this regular The structure is strictly maintained to meet the requirements of use. Elade Technology has cooperated with some customers in the domestic copper foil industry to develop a specially coated titanium anode for the foil machine. It adopts a new structure and formula coating. After testing, it can operate under extreme working conditions and then put into use. use.
Copper foil titanium anode technical parameters
There are currently two types of foil machines on the market for processing anode plates, one is the inlaid type (1mm plum blossom hole) and the other is the back-pull type (6mm FIP).
Industrial and mining conditions for use of copper foil titanium anodes:
1. Electrolyte: Cu2+ >120g/L H2SO4>150g/L
2. Operating temperature: <60℃
3. Use current density: 5000-8000A/m²
4. Chloride ion content of electrolyte: <70ppm
5. Organic matter content in electrolyte: <25ppm
6. Pb2+ in electrolyte <35ppm
7. Service life: 8 months
The technical parameters and product advantages of our company’s coated titanium anodes:
1. Base material: Grade 1
2. Uniformity: Sandblasting and acid etching are used, followed by ultrasonic cleaning.
3. Coating structure: grade 1+composite intermediate layer+nano coating iridium-tantalum mixture
4. Electrocatalytic activity: By increasing the microscopic roughness of the titanium substrate, the actual catalytic area of the coating is increased. Add some base metal oxides to adjust the electrochemical properties of the electrode itself. Reduce tank voltage and save energy.
5. Processing type: embedded type and back-pull type (curved plate)
6. Withstand current density: <10000A/m²
7. Service life: 40000KAH/m2 (or 8 months). Through a special sintering process, cracks on the coating surface are reduced and suppressed, the corrosion of solution oxygen is inhibited, and the formation of TiO2 passivation film is slowed down. Extended anode life.
8. Re-coating of failed anode plates: At the same time, the biggest advantage of titanium anode plates is that they can be re-coated (mainly for 6mm back-pull FIP anode plates). When the life ends, the surface removal coating technology developed by our company only needs to be re-coated. The factory will clean the surface and continue to recoat the precious metal oxide, and its service life will be the same as that of the new anode plate.
